Cognitive science undertakes the scientific study of cognition — brain, mind and behaviour — through the integration and fostering of the concepts and contributions of several areas from Psychology, Neuroscience, Artificial Intelligence, Philosophy, Linguistics, Evolutionary Biology, Anthropology and other social sciences, and the application of formal methods from Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics.

The Docotoral Program in Cognitive Science is a course jointly organized by the Faculties of Sciences, Letters, Medicine and Psychology, and is part of the Mind-Brain College of the University of Lisbon.

Inaugural session (for 1st year students) is held on 19 September, 14h30-16h30, in Sala de Conferências at Reitoria.
